Building a Business, Inspiring a Community
Deema Tabazi
’s story

For Deema Tabaza, creativity was always a passion—but transforming it into a professional business was the real challenge. She had an idea: to combine her love for jewelry-making with a space for hands-on crafting experiences. However, limited resources and high shipping costs made it difficult to structure and sustain her project. She needed the right skills and support to bring her vision to life in a more professional way. That’s when she joined EFE-Jordan’s Scale Up & Thrive program. Through EFE, she gained the business training, confidence, and mentorship to formalize her idea, refine her approach, and build a structured model for growth.“EFE helped me shift my mindset. Instead of focusing on what I lacked, I learned to work with what I had and iterate along the way. That changed everything.”Through the program, she gained the skills and confidence to scale her business, build a part-time team, and refine her approach. Today, her impact extends beyond her workshops: She was one of the first to bring craft workshops to Amman, and her success has sparked a movement. For Deema, her business is more than just a creative outlet—it’s a space for people to connect, express themselves, and turn their ideas into reality.“It means a lot to me to know that I leave my impact in whatever I do. I was one of the first to start crafts workshops in Amman, and now I see so many more people launching their own. I love that I created a space where people can express their creativity and make new friends—bonding over crafts.”
