Under the Mustaqbal II: Building Futures for Yemeni Youth project funded by Alwaleed Philanthropies, EFE-Yemen has launched a transformative program aimed at empowering youth with disabilities through skills development and job placement or self-employment opportunities.

In partnership with local authorities in Aden including the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Yemeni Woman Union, and the Yemen Business Club, EFE-Yemen has worked tirelessly to ensure the full inclusion of disabled youth in its programming. These collaborations have strengthened community support and expanded access to essential services.

A key milestone of this partnership is the ongoing collaboration with the Araman Social Development Foundation, which provided a sign-language translator and helped recruit 50 candidates with hearing impairment. After a competitive selection process, 25 finalists were enrolled in a specialized job placement training program.

The program equips participants with skills in psycho-social support, life skills, computer literacy, handicrafts, and hospitality. Many graduates have successfully secured jobs, gaining financial independence and challenging societal stereotypes.

Additionally, EFE-Yemen has launched public awareness campaigns to promote inclusivity and create supportive environments. By establishing internship networks and fostering partnerships, we are paving the way for amore inclusive labor market.
