JP Morgan Chase and EFE launched Phase II of the expanded regional support from JP Morgan Chase. This new two-year project will train 195 Saudi, Bahraini, and Egyptian women for high-quality IT related jobs in their countries’ respective sectors like e-commerce, digital marketing, and cybersecurity, with focus areas on workforce readiness and career readiness with technical skills. In late September 2024, two vibrant graduation events were held to celebrate the successful completion of the JP Morgan Chase-supported “Women in Tech Phase II” web development training. These events marked the graduation of the first cohorts in each country: 22 women in Saudi Arabia and 20 women in Bahrain. This pioneering project aims to empower young unemployed women with essential ICT skills, enabling them to secure employment in the tech sector.

The events highlighted the significant impact of corporate support in fostering technological growth and development within the region. Graduates of Phase II shared their transformative experiences, emphasizing how the program equipped them with the knowledge and confidence to pursue careers in web development. Project Champions from JP Morgan Chase in both Saudi Arabia and Bahrain expressed their pride in the graduates' achievements and reiterated their commitment to ongoing support for youth empowerment. This milestone not only celebrated the graduates' hard work and dedication but also underscored the vital role of public-private partnerships in driving sustainable development and creating a brighter future for women in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
