Under the “Building Algerian Youth’s Future (BAYF II)” project funded by the UK Government, with the collaboration of local partners EFE is hard at work training youth and trainers in Algeria. Despite mobility restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, three Training of Trainers (ToTs) were held in the southern wilaya of Béchar. Two of these were delivered in a hybrid format, with EFE-Tunisie Master Trainers connected via Zoom supported on-site by senior consultant and certified trainer, Aniss Benyoucef, while the third was held in person with a Master Trainer from Algeria. The 30 newly-certified trainers in EFE’s “Workplace Success”, “Finding a Job is a Job” and “Build Your Business” programs have already begun preparing Algerian youth for brighter futures!
To date, 81 youth have been trained in our “Finding a Job is a Job” training, of which 53 were trained online, and 31 youth in our “Workplace Success” program. We are very proud of these 112 graduates, of whom 70 are women, who are now ready to join the world of work! Follow the project on BAYF’s Facebook and Instagram pages!
