Education For Employment (EFE) mourns the tragic passing of Her Excellency Ameera BinKaram, her mother Badriya Abdul Rahman, and sister Sama BinKaram, on 22 October.
An esteemed Founding Member of EFE’s Advisory Board in the UAE, HE BinKaram was a shining role model of women’s leadership and a pioneering advocate who created economic opportunity for those who need it most.
In her roles as Deputy Chairperson of the NAMA Women Advancement Establishment, Chairperson of the Sharjah Women Business Council, and a founding member and President of Friends of Cancer Patients Society, UAE, HE Ameera BinKaram tirelessly pursued economic inclusion and justice. She was a dynamic champion for women, youth, and the underserved, and her legacy continues to live through those her efforts impacted and inspired.
HE Ameera BinKaram led the way for EFE to work with the Sharjah Business Women Council in providing entrepreneurship training and follow-up support to women and youth from remote areas of Sharjah, UAE.
“With energy and passion, HE Ameera BinKaram transformed the lives of countless women and youth, and we are deeply saddened by her loss,” Ron Bruder, Founder & Chair of EFE, said. “The sympathy and prayers of the entire EFE Network who mourn her loss are with her family and all those whose lives her bright soul illuminated.
