Over the next year, EFE is embarking on an exciting pilot project that integrates a filmmaking competition into our soft skills and entrepreneurship training programs. In September, 18 EFE staff and trainers from Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, and our Global teams gathered for intensive training led by Videos for Change to facilitate this innovative program.

During this 15-hour training, participants will delve into scriptwriting and filmmaking fundamentals using materials from Videos for Change and guidance from EFE trainers. Organized into small groups, they will transform ideas into 1-minute themed videos, each focusing on a selected issue. The process fosters the application of essential soft skills like teamwork, time management, creativity, and ideation, alongside vital digital skills.

As the project culminates, these impactful 1-minute films, aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), will be entered into Videos for Change's prestigious 2023 global competition. This holistic initiative not only enhances skills but also empowers young individuals to make a difference through storytelling.
