Last month EFE shared insights and contributed to the recommendations and findings in Unlearn/Relearn's report: Redefining the Transition from Education to Work in the Middle East. The report was presented at the Unlearn/Relearn conference organized by EDT & Partners.

Our findings reveal that in 2021 over 56,000 youth applied to EFE’s training programs across the MENA region. Among those who were unemployed and looking for a job: 30% pointed out the lack of opportunities in the job market as the main obstacle to finding a job. 29% said that the lack of experience is the reason, while 10% said their area of education is not relevant to the job opportunities in the market. The youth even listed other reasons as simple as not having good CV writing skills, interview skills, and job search resources.
